Advanced computing applies state-of-the-art computer technologies to solve resource-intensive challenges faced by experts in fields such as machine learning, bioinformatics, computational chemistry, computational fluid dynamics, climatology, seismology, and others.

Advanced computing technologies approach the acceleration of calculations by using parallelization to solve a problem, that is, a large number of processors at once, which makes it possible to solve very demanding problems in a reasonable time.

Supek

The Supek supercomputer provides scientists a superior computing environment for High Performance Computing (HPC). HPC enables the execution of computationally demanding applications on a large number of processor cores or graphics processors, which do not necessarily have to be located on the same computer node. Applications thus gain access to an amount of resources that is not limited to one physical machine, because a fast local network enables communication between different nodes.

There are applications available from various fields of application. The applications are prepared for computer cluster, adapted and documented.
