Introduction

Padobran consists of 50 working (computing nodes) and one access server (access node). Cluster Padobran is set up on the Vrančić HTC resource. Depending on the user's needs, there is a possibility of reducing or increasing the number of nodes.

AMD EPYC 7713

All central processing units on the Padobran are EPYC 7713 type manufactured by AMD

The specifications of the AMD EPYC 7713 processor are as follows:

• Number of cores: 64
• Base clock: 2.00 GHz
• Cache memory: L3 - 256 MB, L2 - 512 kB, L1 - 64 kB
• TDP: 255 W
• It supports DDR4 memory modules up to 3200 MHz
• Supports up to eight channels of DDR4 memory
• PCIe version: PCIe 4.0

Storage

A total storage capacity of 464 TB is available to users on Padobran. The repository is divided into BeeGFS standard and BeeGFS-fast systems. Standard BeeGFS has user directories set up and has a larger capacity (384 TB), while BeeGFS-fast (80 TB) is reserved for storing temporary files that are needed during work execution.

In addition to the storage capacity of the Padobarn, additional storage Štampar with a total capacity of 2 PB is also available. Access to the additional repository is possible only from access nodes. The purpose of this repository is to store files that are not needed for computing in the immediate future (eg job result files). Files stored on Štampar are available at the same location on Supek and Padobran.
