Several user roles are currently recognized:
- Student
- a person with the student status at any university
- UNI Admin
- a person employed at the university, coordinating the VC operations
- has the privilege of administering other staff employed at various organizational units within the university
- OrgUnit Admin
- a person employed at any organizational unit of the university (a faculty, school, art academy, …)
- has the privilege of working with course and student data
UNIC Virtual Campus Admin (superadmin)
- a person employed at University Computing Center, University of Zagreb has the privilege of administering UNI Admins and common data
Becoming a UNI Admin
- A list of persons who will become UNI Admins is communicated with the University Computing Centre, Uni Zagreb (via e-mail or regular mail).
- A person logs in the VC Admin application using their own IdP. Confirms the GDPR statement regarding the personal data. The account is not valid yet, it is pending approval. Superadmin gets a notification.
- A superadmin logs in the system, checks the list of preapproved UNI Admins, and grants/denies a UNI Admin privilege.

To gain administrator’s access to The Virtual Campus Portal, following data must be send to the University computing centre: Required data about organization (university):
Optional data about the organization:
All persons who will use the VC must be registered through the UNIC VC Portal. After someone registers as a University Admin (UNI Admin), it is necessary to send an email to the University computing Centre (from the corresponding address, to approve them as UNI Admin). Once approved, they will be able to approve other OrgUnit Admins. There can be multiple UNI admins per university in UNIC VC, but the University computing centre should confirm each one first. |
